Role Description
Lux Research is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Innovator Acquisitions Administrator to manage our innovator pipeline and support the execution of Lux’s flagship Ideathon events. This role is essential to keeping our innovation efforts organized, ensuring seamless coordination between innovators, analysts, and internal teams, while overseeing the administrative functions that keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Innovator Pipeline Management
· Maintain and organize the startup and innovator pipeline, ensuring all outreach and scheduling efforts are accurately tracked. A minimum of 20 innovator assessment interviews with Research Analysts must be completed monthly.
· Collaborate with analysts to define innovation focus areas and translate these into target lists of startups, researchers, and corporate innovators.
· Coordinate directly with startups, academics, and corporate innovators to schedule briefings with Lux analysts.
· Lead proactive outreach efforts via email, LinkedIn, and innovation networks to source startup briefings for Lux analysts and events.
· Serve as the primary scheduling liaison between innovators and Lux analysts, managing calendars across multiple time zones.
· Conduct outreach via email, LinkedIn, and other platforms to engage potential participants and innovators.
· Maintain organized and efficient scheduling workflows, ensuring meetings run smoothly and are well-prepared.
· Ensure smooth operational flow by managing follow-ups, deadlines, and key communications.
Event Administration: Lux Ideathons
· Oversee the planning and logistical execution of Lux’s Ideathon events, including timeline management, resource coordination, and live event support.
· Coordinate outreach to event participants, speakers, and partners, ensuring clear communication and a smooth participation experience.
· Manage event logistics, including follow-ups, scheduling rehearsals, and post-event documentation.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
· 10–12 years of administrative experience supporting cross-functional teams and managing multiple priorities.
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects with a high degree of autonomy and attention to detail.
· Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage calendars, events, and outreach campaigns.
· Excellent communication skills, with comfort coordinating across global cultures and time zones via video, email, and phone.
· Highly detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive in ensuring follow-through on tasks and deadlines.
Desired Qualifications
· Experience coordinating events (virtual or in-person) or supporting large-scale team initiatives.
· Proficiency in tools such as Zoom, ON24, or other event platforms; strong Microsoft Office or Google Workspace skills.
· Familiarity with startup ecosystems, venture capital, or technology scouting.
