We are looking for an experienced Youth Behavioral Health Programs Consultant. This short- to mid-term engagement is designed to provide interim, tactical support to Talkspace’s Youth Programs function during a temporary leadership absence. The Consultant will ensure continuity for NYC-based partner relationships, contribute to program implementation efforts, and support key in-person engagements within NYC schools and districts. We are looking for someone who has experience and wants to bring their talents into a “for purpose” space. This is a hybrid position based in NYC. This position is capped at 35 hours per week, with any additional hours requiring prior written approval.

Scope of Work

The Consultant will support the following focus areas:

1. NYC-Based Partner Engagement (In-Person Required)

  • Represent Talkspace in scheduled or ad hoc in-person meetings with NYC-based school or district partners
  • Serve as the local point of contact for implementation support and partner questions within the NYC metro area
  • Support preparation and follow-up for in-person meetings, including summary notes, action items, and internal alignment

2. Implementation Coordination

  • Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders on implementing youth mental health services in school environments
  • Assist in reviewing rollout timelines, materials, and partner onboarding schedules
  • Collaborate with internal delivery teams to address and escalate issues that arise during program execution

3. Training & Program Enablement

  • Participate in or support the delivery of educator/administrator trainings (virtual or in-person NYC sessions)
  • Review training materials and implementation toolkits and provide input aligned with youth behavioral health best practices

4. Internal Communication & Strategic Input

  • Attend recurring internal planning and update meetings (X per week)
  • Offer perspective on NYC partner dynamics, operational challenges, and opportunities to enhance delivery
  • Support team alignment on timelines, key partner updates, and communications

5. Transition Planning & Handoff

  • Maintain clear documentation of activities and partner status throughout the engagement
  • Deliver a final summary memo to support transition back to the returning team member, including outstanding items and recommendations

Deliverables

  1. Presence at NYC-based meetings and site visits as scheduled (approximately 1–2 per week, variable based on need)
  2. Weekly internal status updates on NYC partner engagement and key risks
  3. Annotated documents, emails, or partner-facing materials as needed
  4. Final handoff memo and closeout meeting with leadership team

About You

  • 10+ years of combined experience successfully selling benefits to educational institutions and working with benefit brokers/stakeholders
  • Must have exposure to either Behavioral Health, Telehealth, or related expirience within Employee Benefits (specifically selling to Educational Partnerships)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate the value of our services
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales tracking tools - we use Salesforce and Outreach
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g. business, sales, marketing)
  • Healthcare experience, Behavioral Health and/or the Telehealth space is considered a plus, NOT a requirement
