We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Administrator to join our legal team at Sumer Law, working in a hybrid model based at the 123 Consulting office in Johannesburg. 

You will collaborate closely with colleagues in the UK to support our Corporate and Employment Solicitors with a wide range of administrative and legal duties. 

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 10th September 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with onboarding of new clients, including KYC (Know Your Customer) checks and documentation
  • Prepare and manage engagement letters and billing support documentation
  • Maintain and update client files and legal databases
  • Liaise with clients regarding documentation and scheduling
  • Support the team with general administrative tasks and coordination
  • Draft board minutes and assist with transaction-related documentation
  • Assist in the preparation of legal correspondence and reports

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Demonstratable experience within a professional services/legal environment within an administrative role
  • Understanding of KYC and client onboarding processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • A proactive mindset
