Responsibilities:
Classroom Support:
- Serve as a float teacher for preschool classrooms (ages 3-5) when regular teachers are absent or there is a vacancy.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, and rest periods
- Assist with student transitions between activities and areas
- Support children's social, emotional, and academic development
- Ensure classroom safety and implement emergency procedures as needed
Administrative Duties:
- Assist with student enrollment processes and maintain student records
- Answer phones and greet visitors in a professional manner
- Prepare and organize classroom materials and educational resources
- Support data entry and file management systems
- Assist with special events, field trips, and family engagement activities
- Help coordinate schedules and communicate with families
- Maintain inventory of supplies and educational materials
- Support compliance with state licensing requirements and documentation
General Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and support staff
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
- Maintain confidentiality of student and family information
- Follow all center policies, procedures, and safety protocols

All other duties as assigned and/or appropriate to the position.
Qualifications:Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred)
Licenses or other required certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
Experience: Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred.
Specialized knowledge, skills, or abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Office, email, and database management
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and engage in physical activities with children
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
