The Job Role
This is a full-time role based in our main office on Arrowhead Road, Theale, which is walking distance from Theale train station and has good transport links by bus and road.
In this role you will have the opportunity and support to complete a Level 5 Digital Learning Designer apprenticeship over a 19-month period.
As a Digital Learning Design Apprentice, your role is to support in the creation, implementation and continuous development of training materials, resources and ad-hoc learning assets in support of our learning programmes.
You will support and assist your colleagues with digital project work and new schemes of work/product development to ensure all technology is being used to achieve its fullest potential and efficiencies.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:
- Helping to design engaging digital training and training communications.
- Learning and utilising an exciting range of authoring tools.
- Supporting the administration of our Learning Management System
- Support the Learning & Development function to help improve workplace performance
- Working alongside the Digital Specialist and supporting them on projects.
- Helping to improve departmental processes to make them more efficient.
- Supporting events such as Workwise at Westcoast, our work experience programme.

- Good interpersonal skills, happy collaborating with others inside and outside of the business
- Good literacy skills and communication skills
- A passion for developing others.
- An aptitude for using technology and an interest in or experience of graphic design
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and creative software is ideal
- Well organised, able to co-ordinate projects and work to deadlines
- Able listen, learn and retain information, asking for help and support where needed
