Kinesiology And Health
Georgia State University
The Fall Prevention and Rehabilitation Group in the Department of Kinesiology and Health at Georgia State University (Atlanta, Georgia) invites applications for an immediate opening of a Postdoctoral Research - Associate. We are looking for motivated researchers with a strong interest in biomechanics, rehabilitation science, physical therapy, occupational therapy, neuroscience, neural control of movement, or related areas.
Our group focuses on preventing falls in healthy aging individuals and people with movement disorders. In particular, we are interested in seeking the mechanisms of falls from the neuro-biomechanical perspective, developing evidence- and community-based interventions for reducing falls, and finding ways to lower the body injuries from fall impact. Our long-term goal is to mitigate the detrimental effects of falls in various populations. For more information about our research work, please visit https://sites.gsu.edu/fyang.
