Job Description:

The role - what’s you day to day going to look like?

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company by managing day-to-day accounting tasks. This role ensures the accuracy of financial records, assists in month-end closings, reconciliations, and contributes to the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
  • Maintain and organize financial records and documentation
  • Support audits by providing documentation and information as needed
  • Monitor compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
  • Assist with payroll and tax filings (depending on the company’s needs)
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as required
Qualifications:

Requirements to succeed

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to have , it’s a bonus!

  • Experience in SAAS. 
  • Knowledge of Spanish tax regulations and payroll processes
  • CPA or equivalent certification (a plus)
  • Experience working in a Big4
