Job Summary
Come join our dynamic, highly skilled Family Medicine clinic team. Family Medicine at Lakeshore seeks a part- time Nurse Practitioner with the ability to support and provide care of pediatric to adult patients in an Ambulatory Clinical Setting. The Advance Practice Provider will have a critical role in the outpatient setting, with both team member and individual duties. These responsibilities will include triage, in-basket management, medication and diagnostic ordering, interpretation of test, and responding to messages and phone calls. Other responsibilities also include patient examination and assessment, diagnosis, and planning; treatment implementation, coordination, and continuity; performance of specific procedures, development of practice protocols and evaluation of quality care, education of patients, patients, families, and other health care practitioners.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $100.48 - $130.31 (Hourly Rate).

Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing recognized Nurse Practitioner Program with a master’s or doctoral degree aligned with the patient population and clinical role.
- These NP have at least fifteen (15) years of NP experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient Primary Care or Family Medicine.
- Must have provided newborns, pediatric, adult, geriatric, and end of life patient care as part of their clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner
- Must have experienced in performing initial prenatal intake, genetic counselling, and follow-up prenatal visits.
- Must have maintained a panel of continuity patients providing full spectrum primary care
- Must hold a current and active RN and NP and Furnishing license in California
- Must have experience with clinical documentation in an electronic health record- EPIC
- Possesses the skills, knowledge, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the assigned position
- Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Precept Nurse Practitioner and Medical students
- Act as a clinical mentor to Nurse Practitioner colleagues
- Assist with Triage/ advice as needed
License/Certification
- California Registered Nurse (RN) License without restriction
- California Nurse Practitioner (NP) License without restriction
- California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number
- NP national board certification from an accepted certifying agency aligned with the patient population and clinical role
- Hybrid Adult and Pediatric Outpatient (Family, Primary, or Specialty Care) (FNP-C, FNP-BC; or dual adult (A-GNP-C, ANP-C, GNP-C, AGPCNP-BC, ANP-BC, GNP-BC, ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, ACNPC) AND pediatric (CPNP-PC, PPCNP-BC, CPNP-AC) certification. See Addendum A below for more detail.
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California address
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
