Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the vision for patient access, aligning goals with organizational priorities and health equity objectives.
- Department Oversight: Directly supervise access leaders and standardize workflows across the system to ensure consistency and excellence.
- Performance Improvement: Monitor KPIs and leverage analytics to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Compliance & Policy: Ensure adherence to HIPAA, HRSA, CMS, state payer rules, and internal controls for revenue processes.
- Technology Innovation: Lead implementation of new scheduling tools, EHR enhancements, and digital access solutions.
- Talent Development: Mentor, train, and develop leaders and staff, building a culture of accountability and compassion.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Patient Access in strategic planning, community partnerships, and cross-functional initiatives.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in patient access, healthcare operations, or revenue cycle management, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Demonstrated success in leading enterprise-wide access or front-end revenue cycle operations in a healthcare environment.
- Proven experience using data analytics and performance metrics to drive improvements in patient access and operational outcomes.
- Strong background in compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, CMS, HRSA, state payer requirements).
- Experience implementing new technologies, EHR workflows, and patient-facing digital solutions preferred.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and change management skills, with a track record of cultivating high-performing teams.
