Key Responsibilities
- To assist the Midlands team in delivering high quality legal advice and guidance to clients in a range of Commercial Property matters in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with professional standards and Firm’s requirements.
- Manage client matters effectively and in accordance with the firm’s procedures and standards with appropriate supervision
- Deal courteously and promptly with any instructions or queries arising.
- Prepare terms of engagement with appropriate supervision
- Obtain and check Land Registry documents and title documents
- Prepare and check legal documents with appropriate supervision.
- Set up and manage project data rooms
- Comply with the firm’s internal processes on time recording, billing, credit control and compliance.
- Achieve any individual financial cost targets
- Develop and maintain good client relationships
- Engage in business development and identify appropriate opportunities to sell the services of the firm to existing and new clients.
- Demonstrate a level of knowledge and skill corresponding with experience.
- Travel between offices and to external meetings when necessary.
- Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the role and to achieve the competencies set out in the commercial property trainee/paralegal plan
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- A law degree or other relevant qualification, which may include experience of working in a legal role.
- Experience of working in a customer/client facing role either over the phone or face to face.
- Proactive and hard working.
- Must be computer literate.
- Ability to prioritise, meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
- High attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
- Must be able to work as part of a team as well as to use own initiative.
- Project a professional image at all times.

- 35 hour working week - Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
