Facilities, Property Management & Logistics Coordinator
At Rincon Research Corporation, our primary business is innovating, developing, and fielding digital signal processing (DSP) products and services for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities in support of national security.
Rincon Research Corporation (RRC), an employee-owned company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities, Property Management & Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This cross functional role combines the analysis and optimization of supporting facility management activities with property management and logistics operations. (We anticipate the work will be a (75% Facilities /25% Logistics) split in functions. An ideal candidate will have a proactive and sensible approach to maintaining and improving facility operations along with strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve logistical issues.
Facilities Support Duties:
- Assist in the daily operations and maintenance of office and facility spaces, including addressing facilities-related issues and coordinating repairs.
- Manage inventory, maintenance, and procurement of office goods and supplies, equipment, and facility materials.
- Coordinate office moves, space planning, and layout changes as required.
- Oversee safety procedures, ensuring that the facilities meet all health and safety regulations.
- Respond to and resolve issues related to office maintenance, ensuring a smooth work and productive environment.
- Assist in vendor management for facility services such as repairs and maintenance, cleaning, catering, etc.
- Provide general administrative support to the facilities team, including documentation and reporting.
Logistics Analyst Duties:
- Inspect, receive, tag and post incoming purchase orders into Costpoint and the property management system (eQuip).
- Performing annual inventory using scanners and manual updates.
- Track property movements and updating the property management system as required.
- Perform property management functions as outlined in FAR Part 45, Clause 52.245.1 and agency directives supporting U.S. Government property audits across multiple agencies.
- Create DD Form 1149’s and other required documentation.
- Verify and sign for shipments, unload and store received items, and process returns.
- Document and report discrepancies against transportation documents and the initiation of any claims against the carrier.
- Communicate with contracts, finance, and others involved in the receipt of equipment and material.
- Load and offload potentially sensitive equipment and materials.
- Package property for commercial and military shipments in accordance with accepted regulations and standards.
- Select commercial carriers to meet required delivery dates while ensuring lowest cost available to the company.
- Maintain strict housekeeping and warehouse operations in logistics and storage areas.
- Provide logistics assistance to associates and customer personnel.
- A TS//SCI Security clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience working in a facilities management role or handling physical infrastructure.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to facility management.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in logistics analysis, supply chain operations, or warehouse management.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with logistics software and ERP systems is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and maintenance procedures.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- NPMA membership and CPPS certification is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Ability to move and set up equipment, furniture, and office supplies.
- Ability to walk, stand, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
Work Environment:
- This position will be based primarily in an office setting in Chantilly, Virginia, with occasional visits to other facilities.
- Occasional travel may be required for logistics coordination or facility inspections.
