Job Summary:

The Crew Lead is responsible for assisting the store manager with supervision & training of Crew Members to provide outstanding customer service to all visitors and complying with the facility’s operational requirements and floor duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize a sales register system and other business equipment to process authorizations for financial transactions.
  • Assist with maintaining established store operation’s plans and compliance with procedures for maintaining high standards of operations to ensure that services conform to established customer, vendor and company quality standards.
  • Communicate with the Store Manager all exceptions to normal operating procedures, including any employee-related issues.
  • Carry out all store-related projects as directed. Support continuous improvement.
  • Communicate regularly with all necessary personnel, both individually and as a group to ensure consistent operation among the shifts.
  • Assist with oversight of staffing and training in all areas, as directed by store manager.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety requirements.
  • Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work, production, and achieving quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workstation and environment at all times.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervises crew members while on shift. 
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assisting Store Manager and Kitchen Lead with training employees; scheduling, planning, assigning, and directing work to ensure that all tasks are completed according to established procedures and in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Experience:

  • Education: High School or Equivalent preferred
  • Experience: 1-2 years in retail, gas station, and/or food service, preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and proficiency in various software programs. 
  • Proficient in math, computer, and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain constructive working relationships under all circumstances.   
  • Ability to present and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and senior level management. 
  • Ability to maintain good attendance habits.
  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description 
  • Comply with the company’s safety, quality, environmental, and HR policies at all times.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. 
  • Occasionally required to balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 
  • Operate in a store or office environment.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel to lift objects of 50 pounds or more. 
  • Ability to use stairs and ladders. 
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; and outside weather conditions. 
  • Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
