MIT Engineer – PE Advanced Technology
Job Summary:
Our client in Georgetown, KY is looking for an MIT Engineer – PE Advanced Technology. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do:
- Development of new technologies for PE and Manufacturing competitiveness improvement.
- Lead and manage projects from concept to launch for new technology first introduction to manufacturing including creating schedules, establishing punch lists, and meeting established due dates and milestones.
- Develop equipment procurement scopes of work and ensure specification is met from planning to production usage.
- Search for innovative solutions, test them in a manufacturing setting, and develop business case justification to gain approval to purchase if trials prove successful.
- Close collaboration between both internal and external groups across Our Client´s company including NAMCs, TMC, TME, TTC, SOAR, PE support shops, & Plano divisions.
Basics:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science OR 5+ years of equivalent technical experience.
- Production Engineering or manufacturing preparation experience – 3 years required; 5 years preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 30% to all North American Manufacturing Centers (NAMC’s) as well as Japan and Europe and other regions.
- Experience with project management including writing detailed scope of work, creating schedules, managing vendors/contractors, and providing regular status updates.
Preferred:
- At least bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in engineering or advanced degree.
- Academic research experience in new technology or capstone leadership.
- Experience in development of innovation projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in coatings and/or battery manufacturing.
- Project management work involving internal and external parties – 6 months or greater.
- Experience deploying equipment including establishing process standards (RJ), PFMEA, and quality control plan
- Experience deploying automotive production equipment.
- Experience in Robotics to include operation, teaching, maintenance, and safety.
- Completion of TBP through panel.
