You’ll also be a key part of our HR leadership team, mentoring others, leading initiatives, and ensuring our HR department is a trusted partner across the agency.

🌱 What You’ll Do

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment across a variety of roles, from frontline to leadership positions, ensuring every candidate has an excellent experience.
  • Champion diverse, equitable, and inclusive hiring practices that reflect our community.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters — from coaching leaders to handling complex workplace investigations.
  • Mentor and develop HR team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Partner with leadership on employer branding initiatives, retention strategies, and staff engagement efforts.
  • Keep us audit-ready and compliant while continuously improving policies, processes, and systems.

💡 What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has progressive HR experience in recruitment and employee relations (7-10+ years ideal, with supervisory experience).
  • Knows how to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Understands HRIS/ATS platforms (UKG, BambooHR, or similar).
  • Brings deep knowledge of employment laws, workplace investigations, and HR best practices.
  • Has a passion for people — with excellent communication, relationship-building, and coaching skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and enjoys building strong teams and systems.
  • Bonus: Experience in health, mental health, or social services settings.

   Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in HR, Business, or related field; PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification
  • 7–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 4 years in recruitment and 3 years in employee relations. Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory/management experience, including leading other managers or senior-level HR staff.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification (required at Manager Level 3)
  • Experience in a health, mental health or social services organization.
  • Knowledge of DEI recruitment strategies and initiatives.
  • Familiarity with HRIS/ATS platforms (e.g., UKG, BambooHR).

Starting Salary Range:   

Human Resources Manager III: $85,000 - $110,00 Annually DOE
