Cobb EMC has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Media & Member Engagement Specialist to assist in the development, implementation, execution of digital corporate communications projects that target members and the general public. These projects include video production, digital communications and advertising commercials, podcasting, emergency storm communications, and outage communications including text alerts.
Schedule: Monday- Friday 7am-4pm (Hybrid- 3 days in the office, 2 days remote)

Responsibilities:What you will be doing:
Digital Media
- Manage, create, organize, edit, coordinate approval and publish digital assets across a variety of channels to include corporate website, online account management system, outdoor marquee sign, digital billboards, NextDoor, partner websites, and more.
- Analyze website traffic and ensure website content is accurate, current and relevant.
- Assist with the implementation of marketing campaigns and strategies, digital media marketing, strategies of product enhancements, marketing new products and services.
- Write copy for digital assets, webpages, digital advertising, general communications and emergency storm communications.
- Execute digital strategy assisting with video production, editing, filming coordination, as needed.
- Assist photographing and filming events as needed.
- Provide support on company-wide projects that may include member journey mapping, member satisfaction task force and more.
Emergency Storm Communications
- Manage J.D. Power taskforce with a focus on the Power Quality & Reliability factor.
- Assist with Outage Working Group meeting logistics and project schedule.
- Analyze internal survey results for insight of storm communications successes and opportunities.
- Attend storm communications industry meetings and webinars representing Cobb EMC and gathering best practices.
- Provide social media support to accomplish emergency storm communications goals.
- Partner with other company divisions to be a proactive and trusted communications advisor for storm communications.
- Seek and promote ways to enhance member satisfaction related to outage communications.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in public relations, journalism, communications or related field.
Minimum two years’ experience with developing and implementing communications programs and coordinating digital media campaigns and projects such as emergency storm communications plans, outage information, and text alerts.
Demonstrated working knowledge of digital marketing and communications, graphic design and video editing tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, survey tools such as Survey Monkey and analytics tools like Google Analytics.
Experience in writing and effectively implementing video projects and digital assets for broadcast, online, and social media. This position will also manage projects related to emergency storm communications.
SKILLS:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with members, internal and external stake holders, vendors, and the public.
Proficiency with digital content creation, video production and editing, digital photography, and content creation for social media including Canva.
Proficiency in web interfaces, basic HTML formatting and copy.
Proficiency with video and podcast software from the Adobe Creative Suite of tools.
Proficiency with all contemporary business tools, including word processing, presentation and spreadsheet applications, as well as web-based and social media tools and systems.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and in team environments.
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically in a fast-paced, ever changing department
Possess valid Georgia driver’s license.
PREFERRED:
Experience in traditional television production and/or digital video production.
Experience with digital storm communications tools such as Kubra, outage maps, and outage text alerts.
Knowledge of Cobb EMC’s business and service area a plus.
Previous utility industry experience.
