Location: On-site — Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $20.50/hour (hourly)
About the Role
Join a patient-centered security team at a healthcare facility in Truro, NS. You’ll help protect staff, patients, and visitors by maintaining a safe, secure environment, responding to incidents, and delivering calm, professional service around the clock.
What You’ll Do
- Monitor entrances/exits and manage access control to clinical areas
- Conduct interior/exterior patrols and safety checks
- Respond to alarms, codes, and urgent calls; de-escalate situations professionally
- Assist staff/visitors with directions, escorts, and general safety support
- Write clear incident and shift reports; maintain accurate logs and documentation
- Observe and report hazards or policy violations; support emergency procedures
- Collaborate with hospital staff and, when required, law enforcement/EMS
Schedule
- Rotational shifts including overnights (healthcare environment; 24/7 coverage)
Requirements
Must‑Have
- Reside in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Comfortable working rotational shifts including overnights
- Able to pass a criminal background check
Nice to Have
- Customer service experience
- Experience working in a healthcare setting
- Previous security background
