About the Role
The Operations Centre Supervisor ensures the smooth day‑to‑day functioning of Paladin Security’s 24/7 Operations Centre. You’ll oversee Operators responsible for dispatching officers, managing client‑specific programs, and responding to alarms. You’ll verify procedures are followed accurately, support training and performance, and serve as a liaison between Paladin Management, clients, and external stakeholders.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
- Supervise Operations Centre staff; act as the go‑to resource for dispatch and alarm response procedures.
- Ensure Operators follow Paladin and client‑specific workflows and protocols.
- Monitor call handling and dispatch performance for timely, accurate responses.
- Review/verify alarm notifications and dispatch logs for completeness and accuracy.
- Provide coaching, training, and onboarding support for new Operators.
- Conduct performance reviews; address professionalism, accuracy, and customer service.
- Maintain shift schedules; ensure adequate 24/7 coverage.
- Escalate emergency and non‑emergency calls appropriately to site officers, management, or on‑call technicians.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and emergency services.
- Compile monthly statistics and incident summaries as requested.
- Perform virtual patrols and desk duties as required.
- Provide after‑hours on‑call support for Operations Centre activities and emergency response.
Schedule
- 24/7 operations; must be available for rotating shifts (days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays) and after‑hours on‑call as assigned.
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a security/dispatch/operations centre environment (supervisory experience preferred).
- Post‑secondary education in law enforcement, security, or related field (asset).
- Strong verbal/written communication; professional phone etiquette.
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); quick to learn new software.
- Typing 50 WPM with high accuracy.
- VMS/CCTV experience (asset).
- Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and decision‑making under pressure.
- First Aid certification (asset).
- Clear letter of conduct required.
Must‑Have Criteria
- Ability to obtain a Saskatchewan Security License.
- 2+ years experience as a Security Guard.
- 1+ year experience as a Security Supervisor.
- Experience with VMS software and managing CCTV usage.
- This is a full‑time, permanent position; able to commit to at least 1 year in the role.
