Position Overview
The Global Operations Manager supports the successful execution of The Tech’s international partnerships and initiatives by overseeing the operational, financial, and logistical functions that drive global programs. This role ensures that systems, processes, and resources are in place to deliver high-quality learning products and services to international partners, particularly those serving learners from low-income and historically marginalized communities. The Global Operations Manager works closely with the Global Partnerships Director and cross-functional teams to manage budgets, contracts, compliance, and project delivery. This exempt role reports to the Global Partnerships Director.
Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Manage day-to-day operations of global projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and budgets are met.
- Develop and oversee operational workflows and systems to support international initiatives.
- Track and report on project milestones, financials, and resource allocations.
- Provide logistical coordination for international program launches, trainings, and events.
Financial and Contract Oversight
- Support the development and management of budgets for international programs.
- Coordinate contracts and vendor agreements in alignment with organizational policies.
- Monitor expenses and financial reporting to ensure compliance and accountability.
- Collaborate with finance and legal teams to ensure adherence to international regulations.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Partner with product, R&D, and learning teams to align delivery of STEM programs globally.
- Coordinate with marketing and communications to document and share global impact stories.
- Work with external partners to establish clear processes for implementation, reporting, and communication.
- Facilitate communication between international stakeholders and internal teams.
Process Improvement and Compliance
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability of global operations.
- Ensure adherence to equity, diversity, accessibility, and inclusion standards across all operations.
- Stay current on international compliance requirements, including data privacy, labor, and contract regulations.
- Support monitoring and evaluation efforts by collecting and reporting operational data.
Requirements and Skills
- 5–7 years of experience in operations, project management, or program administration (experience in global, education, or nonprofit contexts strongly preferred).
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders, budgets, and timelines.
- Strong knowledge of project management tools, budgeting, and operational systems.
- Experience working across international contexts and with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including cross-cultural competency.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Development, Operations Management, or related field required.

Working Conditions and Schedule
- The schedule may include evening or weekend work to accommodate international time zones.
- This is an on-site role with flexibility for remote or hybrid work depending on business needs.
- International and domestic travel up to 20%.
