The Neil Jones Food Company is an industry leader, processing superior quality fresh-packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. Headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers with the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 50 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.  

 

We are looking for an Inventory Control Analyst I to maintain a master plan for the distribution, production, and materials supply for the company. This role will be responsible for maintaining our target inventory levels across the distribution network in addition to preventing stock out and aging materials in the distribution warehouses at our corporate headquarters in Vancouver, WA.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Use the master plan to analyze and maintain a distribution plan for all products moving through our distribution network. This plan will focus on maximizing inventory turns while reducing costs. 
  • Use the distribution plan to analyze and maintain the production plan for the manufacturing of labeled stock and remanufactured product. (Build to stock and build to order.)
  • Use the production plan to create, analyze, and maintain a materials plan for the procurement of raw materials moving through our production system.
  • Maintain metrics that track our forecasting performance and stock out rates.
  • Conducts root cause analysis to develop and implement corrective actions.

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, transportation, business management or related field; or any equivalent combination of training, experience and education that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
  • At least 2 years’ related experience in supply chain and logistics in a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Proficient with using Microsoft Office and knowledge of an ERP system, PeopleSoft preferred, or planning software application experience.
  • Ability to analyze and process large amounts of data, strong quantitative and analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and to work extended schedule and weekends during the fresh pack season, typically July to early November.

 

Compensation: 

The salary range is $65,000 - $68,000, based on experience and qualifications, with overtime.
