Other Conditions: Casual Hire temporary appointment is expected begin September 2025 or soon thereafter. Not to exceed one year.
Duties:
- Media Relations & Communication
b. Serve as primary or secondary contact for specific athletic teams.
c. Coordinate and maintain relationships with local and regional media.
d. Respond to media requests, organize media events, and act as liaison between teams and media.
e. Prepare and distribute photography and support video production for digital platforms.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of a baccalaureate degree or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated.
- Knowledge of collegiate sports rules.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and irregular hours as required for games/events.
- Proficient in using Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 Apps.
- Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management or Journalism.
- Prior sports information experience.
- Familiarity with Creative Cloud Apps and SIDEARM Sports for website maintenance
- Experience with video production and sports photography.
- Experience with livestream broadcasting color and or play by play
- Prior experience in branding initiatives and promotional efforts.
