Location: Toronto ON Canada (Hybrid)


In this position, you’ll be based in the Toronto ON Canada office for a minimum of three days a week, with the flexibility to work from home for some of your working week. Your working hours will be 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday with hours typically from 8.30am to 5.00pm, however overtime is required.  Find out more about our flexible work culture at computershare.com/flex.

Computershare has a great opportunity for you to provide excellent support for Project Managers as an Operations Project Administrator.

Our Operations Project Administrator are vital in assisting the department managers and clients by effectively organizing job setup including but not limited to systems, databases, spreadsheets, cosmos trust, encompass, radar, Script and workflow.

It’s okay if you don’t know everything about the role the Operations Project Administrator position plays at Computershare. As-long-as you have the acumen for this position, Computershare will engage you with an on-the-job approach to training, which generally lasts about 3 months. 


Some of your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Validates all incoming transactions received to ensure they are transferable and in good order. Deficiencies are itemized and rejected. 
  • Ensure that all applicable fees are charged and processed accordingly.
  • Must be able to read material requiring understanding of content in items such as instructions, procedure manuals, documents, and correspondence.
  • Must be able to verbally communicate sometimes advanced levels of information with considerable need for explanation or description.  Is important that this explanation or description be precise to avoid misunderstanding of complex information. 
  • Required to plan most aspects of their own work within specified deadlines with occasional need to change the priorities of the job.
  • Must perform routine, specialized or technical tasks, or procedures requiring specialized knowledge of the requirements to handle corporate actions transactions.

Extended work hours are a necessary part of the job based on client and regulatory requirements.

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Previous admin experience.
  • The ability to take initiative, with a flexible and proactive approach to tasks.
  • Numeracy and problem solving
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, Cosmos Company and SCRIP (preferred)
  • A good working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel (preferred)
