About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) systems to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation projects, contributing to the design, installation, programming, and commissioning of AGV systems across our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- AGV System Integration: Lead and support the installation and commissioning of AGV tracks and infrastructure.
- Programming & Configuration: Develop and optimize AGV control logic, including path planning, obstacle avoidance, and task scheduling.
- Test Runs & Validation: Conduct AGV test runs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure systems meet performance and safety standards.
- HMI Development: Design and implement Human-Machine Interfaces for AGV control and monitoring.
- PLC Programming: Configure and maintain PLCs for AGV and associated automation systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to deliver seamless automation solutions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of system configurations, test results, and maintenance procedures.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience with AGV systems, including track installation and test commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
- Experience with HMI design and development.
- Familiarity with industrial automation protocols and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
