Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build key customer relationships, develop, and implement strategies for expanding the company’s customer base and growing sales within current customers
  • Develop and implement sales vision and marketing plan. Set go-to-market strategy.
  • Drive the company’s achievement of its profitability goals through overseeing these functions
  • Fill open plant capacity through targeted Sales with maximum margin
  • Participate in the cultivation of key accounts & Customer Ranking
  • Work closely with the Sales Directors and broader sales team to develop and implement overall sales strategy and specific strategic account strategies utilizing Salesforce.com
  • Drive a consistent and accurate approach to pricing and costing.
  • Manages the overall sales process and further develop pricing policies focusing on contribution margin
  • Review sales forecasting against capacity management providing guidance to sales on target accounts/product lines
  • Understand and address major sales variances
  • Expected to participate in forums or committees to bring subject matter expertise and thought leadership in making recommendations to the MCM (Management Committee Meeting) and ETM (Executive Team Meeting) on strategy, company standards, procedures, compliance, and metrics
  • Lead Marketing strategy to increase Blommer impressions and promote Blommer as thought leader in the chocolate and compound space
  • Oversee Customer Service function to ensure we have the right customer focus/response times/account facing approach that delights our customers.
  • Talent development of team – lead functions to focus on selling and promoting solutions vs. products.
  • Collaborate across Fuji businesses. Represent and lead Blommer as part of the global multinational sales calls (MNC).
  • Ensure consistent compliance with customer standards, safety/OSHA and quality standards/HACCP and GMP standards
  • Operate within the Blommer core values of respect and care for others

Physical Requirements:

  • General office environment with majority of time using computer
  • Regular exposure to plant floor, including noise, dust and variation in temperature (hot/cold)
  • Requires frequent travel (40 – 55%)

Safety, Quality and Hygiene Requirements:

  • Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and code of conduct
  • Comply with workplace uniform requirements and safety gear, when on the plant floor v. office

Performance Expectations:

  • Lead department and business operation with a high set of standards that drive consistent, quality-driven results
  • Anticipate the needs of the business and promote an environment that supports the learning of new skills and responsibilities
  • Set clear performance objectives and monitor progress to achieve business goals

Skills and Work Experience Requirements:

  • 10+ years of general sales management experience in manufacturing-oriented businesses
  • General experience in the establishment of strategic sales and/or marketing plans, goals and objectives and the design of effective compensation plans
  • Background in managing sales activities through subordinate managers and support staff
  • Demonstrates a strategic mindset with an eye toward operational excellence
  • Understands financial and budgetary requirements
  • Prioritize and assess risk to the business and adapt to rapidly changing situations
  • Ability to establish and build trusting relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Expected to identify, communicate/escalate and problem-solve as issues arise
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Effective in both verbal and written communications, with strong proficiency in delivering presentations and executive reports

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range at the time of posting is below. The base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. The actual base salary within the specified range is based on several factors, including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior relevant experience, education, certifications, job responsibilities, market considerations and, if applicable, the location of the position. 

This role is eligible for either a discretionary annual bonus (based on company, business unit and individual performance) and/or commission-based incentives. 

Salary Range $270K-282K
