Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Technician to support our Safety Manager and our EHS/Facilities Manager in maintaining and enhancing workplace safety, environmental compliance, and facility health standards. This role will assist in the implementation of EHS programs, conduct inspections and audits, support training initiatives, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Support to Safety Manager:
Assist with workplace safety programs (e.g., LOTO, PPE, ergonomics, confined space).
Conduct routine safety audits and inspections.
Aid in emergency preparation and drills.
Participate in incident investigations and track corrective actions.
Help deliver safety training and onboarding sessions.
Maintain safety data sheets (SDS) and other documentation.
Maintenance of Safety Plus data input
Support to EHS/Facilities Manager:
Assist with environmental compliance tasks as assigned (e.g., hazardous waste management, stormwater, air emissions reporting).
Help maintain facility safety and environmental records, permits, and documentation.

General Responsibilities:
Monitor compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
Support in the collection of EHS data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Assist in developing and updating policies, procedures, and training materials.
Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day EHS inquiries from employees.
Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma
Experience: Preferred experience in EHS or related role, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or research environments.
Certifications: OSHA 30 hours or other relevant certifications preferred.
Skills:
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Familiarity with EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc.).
Ability to conduct inspections and write clear, actionable reports.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS management systems.

Working Conditions:
Ability to work on the production floor with exposure to dust, fumes, odors, loud noise, and varying temperatures.
Ability to do work that requires standing with frequent stooping, bending, reaching overhead and sufficient manual dexterity to perform all aspects of the job. Desk work as required.
Must be able to read, write and comprehend English.
Must be able to safely handle up to 50 pounds using a lifting device.
You must follow all safety rules in force for the location you are in while performing your job responsibilities.
You must wear applicable PPE for manufacturing areas when you are in those areas including safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
