Description
With minimum supervision, perform moderately complex inventory-related duties.
Essential Functions
Support the coordination, facilitation and scheduling of regular inventory counts, both internal and external (labs); compare physical and system counts; identify SKUs with significant variances and then lead the audit phase of the count; document issues found or variances resolved; coordinate updates of the inventory system to reflect the final counts; provide summary reports of the counts and provide recommendations for improvement for future counts
Analyze and manage frame and salvage assembly based on inventory needs and excess part inventory; utilize inventory critical status, negative inventory, and usage; support inventory analysis in determining order requirements for parts (fronts and temples); responsible for verifying quality of assembled frames prior to receiving into stock
Analyze and manage finished stock lenses needs. Utilize inventory critical status, negative inventory, and usage; support inventory analysis in determining order requirements
Analyze, develop, and manage the removal of obsolete inventory; maintain required safety stock to ensure warranty coverage; stage and manage resulting donation shipments; support the required documentation for inventory write-off of frames and parts to support accounting requirements; stage and manage disposal of write-off inventory
Conduct inventory analysis required to identify inventory needs from consignment, sales, and vendor capability; responsible for expediting the receipt of re-alignments and reporting out of status on a daily basis
Support analysis required for ordering and issuing frame cases in support of usage
Support analysis required to determine frame refurbishment based on inventory usage and inventory shortages
Requirements
Job Specifications
Typically has the following skills and abilities:
Two to four years of distribution and/or inventory experience
Effective oral and written communication skills to include the ability to explain inventory needs, as well as the ability to comprehend and accurately respond to inquiries
Knowledge of inventory control functions
Ability to perform detailed work with numerical data
Demonstrated ability to work independently
Ability to follow detailed procedures that have a significant impact on business processes
Proficient with Email, Excel, and complex spreadsheets
