Centex Technologies is seeking a talented Infrastructure Engineer.
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of designing, building, and operating our cutting-edge AI Experience Center, working on some of the most advanced technologies in datacenter, virtualization, and AI infrastructure.

What You WIll Do...
- Design, install, configure, and manage solutions in our on-premises vSphere, Kubernetes, and OpenShift lab environments.
- Maintain subject matter expertise in data center architecture, Linux, virtualization, and container platforms.
- Collaborate with peers in the Strategic Technologies Group to evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, equipment, and features.
- Troubleshoot complex systems and coordinate with OEM support teams to resolve issues.
- Support internal engineers with account management and system configuration requests.
- Provide guided tours of the AI/data center environment for internal and external stakeholders.
- Pursue advanced technical certifications and stay at the forefront of industry trends.

Requirements
Core Expertise (Required):
- Linux Systems: 3–5 years designing, installing, and configuring Linux environments; must be highly proficient with CLI.
- Kubernetes & OpenShift: 3–5 years designing, installing, and managing clusters.
- VMware vSphere: Solid experience designing, deploying, and managing clusters.
- Scripting/Automation: 3–5 years developing in Shell and Python for automation and system administration.
- Enterprise Networking: Hands-on with Dell switching & Cisco firewalls; strong understanding of VPNs, VLANs, L3 routing, and protocols.
- Enterprise Storage: Experienced with SAN/NAS systems; knowledge of NFS, SMB, NVMe/TCP.
Preferred/Desired Skills:
- Experience with Nvidia DGX, HGX, or OVX platforms and accelerated computing/HPC environments.
- Proficiency in Ansible or other automation tools.
- Experience with enterprise-class storage (Weka, VAST, DDN, Dell PowerScale/PowerStore/PowerFlex).
- Data protection expertise (Dell Data Domain, PowerProtect).
- Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware Horizon.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
Certifications & Education
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) required.
- Linux certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, or equivalent) required.
- Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes certification is highly desired.
- Nvidia AI in the Data Center certification preferred.
- VMware VCP-DCV and CCNA, or Dell networking certifications, are a plus.
