MealSuite, an Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Company, is a privately owned SaaS organization comprising 190+ team members across the globe, with hub locations in Cambridge, ON, Canada, Dallas, TX, USA, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Our suite of end-to-end foodservice technology solutions helps professionals across healthcare and aging services streamline their operations, save time, reduce food waste, and meet regulatory requirements, so they can focus on what matters most: improving the quality of patient and resident care.
We’re looking for our next innovative Director of Product, Culinary to join our Culinary team.
Reporting to the Vice President of Product, you’ll be leading the growth and innovation of our Culinary-focused products, empowering foodservice leaders in Senior Living and Healthcare to elevate their operations through our MealSuite technology.
A day in the life as a Director of Product, Culinary:
- Drive Strategic Product Leadership - Own the end-to-end product strategy for the Culinary portfolio. Identify emerging trends in foodservice, anticipate regulatory and industry shifts, and translate strategic objectives into clear, actionable roadmaps. Champion innovation and long-term vision across culinary offerings to elevate customer experience and operational excellence.
- Domain Ownership & Feature Leadership - Lead discovery and innovation within the Culinary domain. Deeply understand user needs, kitchen workflows, and market dynamics to shape product direction. Define, deliver, and iterate on features that drive measurable impact across the Culinary portfolio - from menu planning and ingredient sourcing to kitchen operations and guest satisfaction.
- Track Qualitative & Quantitative performance for insights – Seek out data to assess performance of your products & features in the market. This may be evaluating why upsells have surged in specific markets, or the product requirements to compete in a new market, or investigating whether a new product feature is being fully adopted by users.
- Track Competitive & Partner Ecosystem - Be the domain expert on the competitive landscape and partner ecosystem. Understand what tools and platforms customers use beyond MealSuite, and how partner goals align with our product vision.
- Drive Culinary Product Growth – Lead the vision and execution across Culinary products - Recipes & Menus, Production, Inventory, and Waste - grounded in a passion for great food and deep understanding of what makes a recipe exceptional. Balance cost, taste, and experience across luxury (IL/AL) and clinical (Acute/Memory Care) settings. Align product decisions with an understanding of how Red Seal chefs would operate and budget. Success is measured by meals consumed vs. skipped and resident retention tied to dining satisfaction.
- Forge Cross-Functional & Cross-Team Collaboration - Lead a multidisciplinary team of Product Managers, Product Owners, and UX Designers. Work directly with delivery teams for milestone estimations. Foster collaboration, communication, and relationship-building within Product, across Product teams, and between Product and other MealSuite teams (Sales, Marketing, CX, Support, etc.), partners, customers/users, and external stakeholders.
- Drive strategic decision-making – Create business cases, prioritize initiatives using value vs. effort frameworks, and guide long-term product vision. Set expectations and align with external stakeholders to identify trends, business needs, and opportunities for product adoption.
- Strategic Ideation & Roadmapping – Bring forward new ideas, evaluate them through business cases, and build roadmaps that align with company goals.
- Team Alignment & Leadership – Guide the Culinary team to align with overarching business goals and ensure seamless collaboration with development teams.
- Stakeholder Communication – Triaging requests, managing expectations, and communicating product priorities and changes effectively. Work closely with engineering leads to optimize development efforts in an agile environment. Escalate and address blockers, risks, and opportunities across the product lifecycle.
