What You'll Do

Lead and develop staff: You'll supervise, mentor, and motivate a team of 3–4 case managers through weekly check-ins, coaching, and professional development. You'll also be involved in hiring and performance reviews.


Manage programs and operations: You'll ensure the smooth delivery of case management services, oversee referrals, and help develop new programs with a focus on equity and grant compliance. You'll also be responsible for data accuracy, reporting, and maintaining effective program operations.


Build and maintain relationships: You'll serve as a liaison between our housing advocates and landlords, helping to resolve issues and recruit new landlord partners.


Handle emergencies: You'll serve as an emergency facilitator and re-establish our internal Safety Committee to ensure we can respond effectively to challenging situations.


Represent The Road Home: You'll be our voice in the community, participating in the Dane County Homeless Services Consortium and other committees to help coordinate and improve services for families experiencing homelessness.


What We're Looking For

Experience: A Bachelor's degree is preferred, but we value relevant work and lived experience. You should have at least three years of experience working with diverse populations in the nonprofit sector. Supervisory experience as well as emergency/crisis management experience is highly preferred.


Skills: You have strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. You are a critical thinker with experience in emergency or crisis management. You are comfortable with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
