Position Duties
In this role, you will support the eligibility process for the Food and Nutrition Services program. Primary responsibilities include:
- Contacting clients and third-party verification sources.
- Assisting Income Maintenance Caseworkers (IMC II) in gathering the information needed to determine eligibility.
- Supporting the timely and accurate processing of cases to ensure services are delivered without delay.
Your efforts will directly impact how quickly and effectively clients receive the help they need.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires graduation from an accredited associate degree program; or
- Graduation from high school and two years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering and compiling of data, analysis of data and/or performance of mathematical or legal tasks.
- An equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems.

- Ability to explain policies and procedures clearly and effectively
- Empathy and a genuine interest in understanding client needs
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a willingness to learn program guidelines
- Available to work 20 hours per week, with a set morning or afternoon shift, Monday through Friday.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk while intermittently sitting, standing, walking, or stooping. The employee occasionally lifts light and heavy objects. The work is typically performed in an office.
