Responsibilities
- Directs the daily department management meeting, communicates expectations, and addresses issues and concerns.
- Oversees all activity affecting property, addresses problems immediately, and resolves items needing repair or improvement. Escalate issues, as needed.
- Reviews claims and disputes. Address and follow up on guest comment cards, as needed.
- Reviews department reports impacting guest service. Resolves guest impact points, as needed.
- Analyzes and evaluates operational productivity. Determines and recommends areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, and/or policy changes.
- Develops and maintains departmental operating budget for the fiscal year.
- Partners with accounting and operations management to design and implement internal controls and guest service enhancements for new and existing game/venue offerings, promotions, events, and programs.
- Ensures regulatory compliance with Cherokee Nation Gaming Commission (CNGC), MICS, Title 31, Title 26, and applicable company policies and procedures.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
•High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 to 4 years of casino operations experience or an equivalent combination of formal education, casino operations and/or leadership experience.
•Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
•Excellent written, communication, presentation, and computer skills, including working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite.
•Ability to identify alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
•Excellent cash handling skills.
•Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a state-issued liquor license.
•Must pass the Alcohol Awareness training provided by CNE or equivalent.
•Ability to obtain and maintain licensing from the appropriate gaming authority.
