Are you a relationship-builder with a passion for nonprofit work, food justice, and community impact? Food Lifeline is seeking a Food Sourcing Specialist to play a critical role in securing food donations and ensuring equitable access to fresh, healthy, and culturally relevant food for the communities we serve.
As a key member of our Food Resources team, you’ll develop and maintain strong donor relationships, identify new food sourcing opportunities, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth supply chain logistics and distribution. Your work will directly support our mission to end hunger and advance equity in food access across our region.
What you’ll do:
- Act as an ambassador for Food Lifeline, showcasing the impact of corporate partnerships and community partnerships.
- Cultivate and manage a portfolio of food donors, with a focus on fresh produce, proteins, and culturally relevant foods.
- Conduct donor stewardship through phone, email, and in-person visits.
- Research food industry trends, supply chain networks, and donation programs to expand our partnerships.
- Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to coordinate donations, including truckload deliveries, repackaging, and produce market partnerships.
- Support general Food Resources functions as needed.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Donor relationship management and partnership development
- Knowledge of the food industry, supply chain, and food sourcing
- Strong skills in community engagement, program support, and cross-team collaboration
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, food justice, and hunger relief
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $28 – $31/hour
