Summary
WesTech is in need of a Quality Control Coordinator who will support quality-related programs and procedures associated with the fabrication of water and wastewater treatment equipment. They will assist in the collection, organization, and review of supplier documentation, coordinate travel for inspection services, and help with the organization, maintenance, and calibration of tools used for inspection services. Additionally, they will act as a liaison between WesTech and WesTech’s contracted suppliers to assist with driving timely and complete quality documentation, as required. Candidates for this position may be required to pass pre-employment and periodic screenings, including background checks, drug and alcohol tests, or other necessary assessments.
Some of the work that you will do:
- Organize and collect quality-related documentation based on the WesTech Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) document.
- Coordinate the assignment of documentation review to the Quality Control team.
- Coordinate with suppliers and WesTech Purchasing to schedule inspections.
- Manage storage of all supplier quality documentation in WesTech’s systems and communicate documentation status to Project Managers and Purchasing groups.
- Escalate issues to the Quality Control Manager with regards to quality documentation or results.
- Assist Quality Control Manager with providing feedback on supplier performance and communication.
- Oversee tool and instrument calibrations.
- Other duties as assigned or requested.

- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Quality Document Control, Supplier Quality
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations. Fair in working with suppliers and internal customers.
- Possess excellent computer skills: MS Word, Excel and other Windows applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional when talking with customers.
- Ability to work well with others (team oriented).
- Ability to think and act proactively; creative problem-solving
- Ability to multi-task.
- Adaptable to changing conditions and requirements, able to persevere in the face of challenges.
- Analytical; able to analyze data to find trends and recognize issues.

- Quality Certificates
- Experience managing quality control documentation.
- Experience using Business Central.
- Experience using SharePoint.
- General knowledge of mechanical equipment.
- Water treatment and/or process equipment understanding.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform computer-based work for extended periods.
- Some lifting may be involved (up to 50 lb.)
- Travel only as needed, but generally less than 10%.
