Human Resources Assistant
National HVAC Service is a leading provider of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration solutions. As we continue to expand operations across multiple states, we are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our HR Department.
Position Summary
The Human Resources Assistant will support the HR team with a variety of administrative and HR-related tasks. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in an HR department, understands HR terminology, and values confidentiality. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the HR team across multiple states
- Assist with troubleshooting HRIS and other database/system issues
- Maintain accurate employee files and HR databases
- Support benefit administration and employee communications
- Handle sensitive information with discretion
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of administrative experience in an HR Department (required)
- Strong administrative, communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with HR terminology and processes
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn HR systems
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting HR operations across multiple states or sites
- Pursuing or holding PHR or SHRM-CP certification
- Associate’s degree
- Experience processing payroll
