Mission of the Role
***This position is based in our SICK, Bloomington MN office. Working in office four days a week and one day remote.
As part of the Regional and Global Sales & Operations Planning process, this position will have the key responsibility to develop, implement, maintain internal Demand Planning processes for SICK’s North American Sales & Service Cluster.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the SICK North American Sales & Service Cluster subject matter expert for Demand Planning processes.
- Collaborate with Sales and Market Product Management to ensure that market promotions, high impact opportunities, and product portfolio forecasts inclusive of new product launches and phase-outs are considered in the overall demand plan. Document assumptions and adjustments to forecasts.
- Integrate financial planning into a forward-thinking demand plan based on input from key SICK North American Sales & Service Cluster functional areas including Sales, Market Product Management, Marketing, Finance, et cetera.
- Utilize our state-of-the-art software tools to review statistically calculated forecasts based on market intelligence and enhance the North American Sales & Service Cluster demand plan accordingly.
- Understand the technical functions of an Advanced Planning System (APS) and other Business Intelligence Solutions.
- Facilitate monthly North American Sales & Service Cluster demand planning meetings to drive organizational focus and alignment. Support the Global Demand Planners as needed in the SICK Group Sales & Operations Planning process.
- Coordinate and align the North American Sales & Service Cluster demand plan with the Global Demand Planners ensuring monthly timelines are being met.
- Communicate KPIs, develop plans with stakeholders, and take actions to improve overall forecast accuracy.
- Support and drive the continuous improvement of SICK’s Advanced Planning System, other Business Intelligence Solutions, and demand planning processes.
Key Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or equivalent experience in Business Analytics and/or Planning
- 2-5 years of experience in Demand Planning and/or Sales & Operations Planning
- Thorough understanding of the drivers for demand and the impact on Supply Chain processes and operations
- Comprehensive understanding of business intelligence software (ERP systems, CRM systems, APS software) and other demand planning related tools. Hands-on experience in Blue Yonder’s Demand Forecasting solutions would be a strong plus.

Compensation
Starting Base Annual Salary Range: $74,550 - $112,750
