Who We Serve
North Bay Regional Center provides advocacy, services, support, and care coordination to children and adults diagnosed with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties. We partner with community-based organizations and agencies to empower our clients to thrive and live as independently as possible within the geographically, culturally, and ethnically diverse communities we serve.
North Bay Regional Center serves over 12,000 people living within the geographic boundaries of Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties. North Bay Regional Center is a nonprofit private corporation that contracts with the Department of Developmental Services to coordinate services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. At NBRC, we’re promoting opportunities by supporting choices for people with developmental disabilities.

DEFINITION:
The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst develops, implements and monitors behavioral services for clients to ensure safety, positive behavioral changes and continuity of service delivery. Closely interfaces with clients, service providers, staff and other behavioral service providers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Work in together with NBRC clients, their families, NBRC case management and clinical staff and service providers to ensure that health, safety and positive behavioral change is met in a quality setting.
· Perform behavior assessment of client needs.
· Participate as an active member of an Interdisciplinary Team for each individual under the Community Placement Plan.
· Organize, prioritize, and coordinate work activities.
· Read, interpret and follow complex policies, procedures, laws and regulations.
· Use initiative and sound, independent judgment within established guidelines.
· Maintain current workload with complete and accurate documentation and attend meetings in and out of the office with punctuality.
· Conduct meetings, interviews, and evaluations and interpret and document the information.
· Represent the agency's philosophy, policies, and standards in a professional manner in the community and with staff.
· Consult with vendors, prospective vendors, and community agencies regarding program development and standards.
· Evaluate the quality of programs which serve people who have developmental disabilities.
· Visit clients in their homes and day programs.
· Understand and utilize sound case management and counseling principles.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Completion of a master’s degree in social work, psychology, education, special education, or a related field preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience post-certification as a BCBA, with at least one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a varied behavior services background and experience. (e.g., direct intervention; clinic intervention, behavior supports for various service providers, etc.)
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities in developing positive behavior strategies.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and electronic charting.
- Ability to conduct behavior assessment of client needs and work together with our clients, their families, NBRC case management and clinical staff and service providers to ensure that health, safety and positive behavioral change is met in a quality setting.
- Ability to positively and productively participate in resource development and identification of community resources
- Participate as an active member of an Interdisciplinary Team for each individual under the Community Placement Plan.
- Knowledge of the California Code of Regulations Titles 17 and 22; behavior assessment and intervention; development of behavior plans for direct support; accessing behavior supports through managed care, etc.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to provide personal automobile transportation, or access to another form of reliable transportation, during and after working hours.
- Must be able to regularly travel to all NBRC offices within catchment area to provide employee training as well as support and oversight to assigned staff member(s).
- Must be able to occasionally travel to attend meetings outside of catchment area, including occasional overnight travel to attend statewide meetings.
- If operating own vehicle, provide minimum automobile liability insurance as required by California Law.
- Flexibility in work hours is required to meet the needs of the regional center constituency.
- This position will be primarily based in the office, however, a hybrid work arrangement may also be available.
- Fluency in a language in addition to English is desirable and may be required.
A note regarding NBRC’s expectations regarding remote, hybrid, and home-based work…
All employment at NBRC requires face-to-face, in-person interactions with NBRC clients, family members, community, and co-workers. Candidates for employment must live within commute distance to their preferred NBRC office, as well as the geographical location of their assigned clients. While 100% remote work is not available to NBRC employees, a hybrid work arrangement with a blend of in-office and home-based work may be available for new employees after successfully demonstrating achievement of performance expectations following at least 3 months of in-office work.

- For those speaking a language other than English – $150 per month

Salary Range
$87,396 – $96,360 with opportunities for 5% increases annually
