Lyle Machinery Co. has been a diversified equipment dealer over 35 years. Founded and located in the heart of Mississippi, we continue to service communities all over the South. We've added a location just down the road from our Headquarters in Richland, Mississippi, dedicated especially to Parts & Service. With several locations across MS, AL, LA, FL, and TX, LMC performs service and repairs, both on-site and in the field, in addition to the sales, leases and rentals of heavy and compact equipment.
We offer the best products, knowledge, support and service to our customers in heavy/compact construction, forestry, material handling, asphalt, concrete, pipeline, and scrap industries. Not only do we maintain a robust inventory of parts and equipment, but we also have a large variety of rental units available for those last-minute needs.
Duties: As a Service Admin (Industry-specific), your primary responsibility will be supporting our technicians in the shop and branch manager. This is NOT a general clerical position. General knowledge of work order systems for service in Automotive, Construction, Agricultural, and/or Utility experience is required.
- Maintaining and monitoring detailed records of life cycles of the repair orders, and other required data, including but not limited to, DOT requirements, payroll information, and asset service records
- Follow up with other inter-company departments on open issues
- Supervision of the opening, updating, and closing of work orders
- Verification and processing of invoices
- Required reporting for budgetary issues
- Prepare service department correspondence as directed by Service Manager
- Ordering and maintaining needed shop and field service supplies
- Other tasks as assigned by management
Requirements
- High school degree or GED equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred
- Three (3) years industry or equivalent preferred (industrial, agricultural, or heavy equipment)
- Ability to learn machine specific functions and needs
- Basic to intermediate computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
- Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail conducive to multi-tasking.
- Must be goal-oriented, work well with others, and adaptable to execute various tasks, daily
- Must be able to report to work as scheduled every day
- Some weekend work and/or overtime, as necessary
