Job Title: Aging Services Assistant
Location: Fort Smith, AR

Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Aging Services Assistant to provide assistance to our Respite & Caregiver and Ombudsman programs by working closely with staff members to coordinate services for both programs, perform general office duties, assist in coordination of services for clients, and providing support for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client & Caregiver Support: Assist with intake and screening for caregivers seeking Title IIIE services. Offer in-person and phone support, including resource referrals.
- Program Coordination: Support the planning and delivery of respite care services, support groups, and caregiver training materials.
- Ombudsman Support: Document and refer complaints to the Regional Ombudsman, and assist with facility visits to observe conditions and speak with residents.
- Data Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate, confidential case files and databases; assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
- Outreach & Community Engagement: Participate in community events, workshops, and educational sessions to promote program awareness.
- Administrative Support: Perform general office duties such as typing, answering phones, and operating office equipment.
- Training & Certification: Attend all required program training sessions. Must obtain State Certified Ombudsman Certificate within three (3) months of hire.
- Other Duties: Assist both programs as needed to ensure effective service delivery and operations.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- State Ombudsman certification obtained within three (3) months of hire.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy and deadlines.
- Ability to work closely and effectively with all employees and management staff.
- Ability to proficiently use and perform key functions of MS Office programs.
- Valid driver's license.
