Makwa Global is seeking a talented military Veteran to join our Team as a Program Course Manager for the contingent award of the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Preparatory Course Training and Support Services at Naval Station Great Lakes, Great Lakes, IL. We need the rare skill sets you have developed throughout your Naval Career to properly physically train and mentally prepare SEAL and SWCC candidates for successful completion of their respective selection programs. You will lead a highly motivated and qualified team of about 30 personnel with leadership and support in the areas of strength and conditioning, running, swimming and water skills, administrative and statistical support, logistical support and inventory management, and medical support.

 Requirements

  • A Minimum of three (3) years of recent (within the last 5 years) experience in a P/CM role, ideally in a role supporting US Naval Special Operations
  • Experience within NSW and an understanding of the NSW pipeline process
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the NSW Preparatory Course Contracting Officer Representative and active-duty staff, to include collaboration on all aspects of the course curriculum. The P/CM should maintain accurate records of student information that includes travel activity, testing and results in the designated Government system. The P/CM shall be familiar      with all aspects of the job, test sites, and Centers of Influence (i.e. Recruit Training Center (RTC), Naval Training Center (NTC), Training Support Center, NSWCEN, other supporting entities) in their relationship to the operation of NSW Preparatory Course
  • Ensure that training management is conducted in accordance with OPNAV, SOCOM, NSWC, and NSWCEN instructional directives and policies. All policies are held electronically and distributed by the military staff. (i.e. Drop/roll policy, drug/substance abuse, workplace violence and their application to students).
  • Possess the ability to demonstrate and explain all points of performance of exercises included in the Physical Standards Test and exit test
  • Directly supervise administrative and medical contract personnel
  • Supervise Physical Training Instructors in conjunction with Lead Physical Training Instructors
  • Manage the Physical Training Instructor's training activities. The P/CM is not required to be at every training evolution but shall maintain strict oversight of each instructor’s performance through the Lead Physical Training Instructors 

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Administration (B.A.) in Business, Management, Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Human Resource Management, Health and Exercise Science, or Kinesiolog
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative assessment methods to support the Program
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office suite of programs. (Excel, Power Point, Project and Word)
