The Role at a glance:

Elior North America is seeking an experienced HR Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting HR processes, maintaining accurate employee data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. The HR Compliance Specialist will also assist with HR programs and initiatives, contributing to a positive employee experience across the organization.

This position is ideal for an HR professional with strong administrative skills who is looking to take on greater responsibility and continue growing their career in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Respond to and resolve employee inquiries via the HR ticketing system (e.g., Zen Desk), escalating more complex matters as needed.
  • Process HR transactions including, employee data changes, position management, and offboarding, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist with administering HR programs such as Tuition Reimbursement and Employment Law Posters.
  • Support process improvements by identifying trends in employee inquiries and collaborating with HR teams to streamline workflows.
  • Contribute to compliance efforts by ensuring HR records, documentation, and processes meet legal and company standards, specifically with respect to I-9 regulations, Background check requirements, Union requirements, and regulatory reporting.
  • Provide support for HR projects and initiatives focused on improving employee experience and operational efficiency.

What we're looking for:

Must-Haves:

  • Understanding of HR Compliance processes and employment laws
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience managing multiple priorities with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with employees at all levels.
  • A proactive, customer-focused mindset with commitment to continuous improvement.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • 2–3 years of experience in Human Resources or related administrative roles
  • Experience with SuccessFactors or similar HRIS systems.
  • Familiarity with compliance audits and data reporting.
  • Experience in food service or hospitality industries.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) experience or capability

Where you'll be working:

This position is based on site at our corporate office in Houston, TX (4920 Westway Park Blvd, Suite 150), four days a week with the option to work remotely one day per week.

Compensation Range

Compensation for this role is $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 commensurate with experience.
