Task Description
Senior Tech Lead: Data Platform, Analytics & BI
Please note that this position is based in Brussels and offered as a permanent contract (CDI). It is not a freelance opportunity. The role requires on-site presence 2 to 3 days per week.
The Senior Technology Team Leader will lead the Data Platform, Analytics & BI organisation, encompassing the Business Intelligence and Data Platform Management ecosystem. This strategic role blends technical vision, people leadership, and delivery oversight, with a mandate to:
- Define and drive the technical and organisational vision for Data Analytics and BI across Proximus Global.
- Build and evolve a modern, scalable, and secure data platform using AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, and Qlik.
- Ensure continuity of legacy systems during the transition.
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Technical Leadership
- Set the long-term vision for data architecture, analytics capabilities, and business intelligence.
- Guide the transition from on-premise to cloud-based platforms.
- Ensure platform reliability, performance, and compliance.
- Align Data Analytics & BI strategy with enterprise goals and data governance standards.
People & Team Management
- Lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Define and track individual and team goals.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and career development planning.
- Manage hiring, onboarding, and team capacity planning.
Delivery & Execution
- Translate business needs into actionable technical roadmaps.
- Oversee delivery of data products, analytics solutions, and platform enhancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, business units, and architecture teams.
- Represent Data Analytics in strategic forums and governance bodies.
Your Profile
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Expertise
- At least 5 years of proven leadership in data and analytics domains .
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience in Data Analytics domain
- Architectural understanding of modern data platforms components like:
- MPP (Teradata, Snowflake, etc.)
- Big Data Stack (Spark, Hadoop, etc.)
- Amazon Web Services and its components
- Familiarity with CI/CD, monitoring, and data governance frameworks.
- Leadership & Strategy
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary distributed teams
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
