Senior Role Design Specialist
Clerk Grade: 9/10
Salary Range: $129,464 - $142,665 + super
Employment Type: Temporary for up to 12 months, Full-time. Talent Pool will be created for future opportunities
Location: McKell, Gosford or Parramatta with flexible working arrangements including office attendance

You’ll provide expert guidance and governance in the development, implementation, and evaluation of role descriptions, ensuring alignment with best practice organisational design and public sector standards. About the team:
The People & Culture team at the Department of Customer Service (DCS) is committed to enabling a high-performing, future-ready workforce. As part of the Workforce Planning & Strategy function, you’ll work closely with senior leaders, HR Business Partners, and change teams to deliver best practice role design and organisational solutions that support strategic transformation across the department.
About You:
To thrive in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in organisational and role design, ideally within a large or complex organisation.
- Strong knowledge of and experience in job evaluation methodologies (Mercer accreditation highly regarded).
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and coach senior leaders to champion effective design outcomes.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to translate business needs into effective role and structure solutions.
- A collaborative approach and a passion for continuous improvement and capability uplift.
