Step into the fast-paced world of greyhound racing and play a critical role in upholding integrity, animal welfare, and fair play across race events in NSW.
We're looking for a highly motivated Race Day Steward to officiate at greyhound race meetings, oversee on-track operations, and enforce industry regulations. If you’re passionate about animal welfare, have experience in racing or regulatory environments, and thrive under pressure, this role offers a dynamic and rewarding career.
What You’ll Do:
- Chair and oversee greyhound race meetings across NSW.
- Manage on-track operations and ensure races are conducted fairly and safely.
- Lead kenneling and swabbing procedures, ensuring compliance with welfare and integrity protocols.
- Investigate and report race incidents, conduct inquiries, and issue penalties.
- Collaborate with vets, racing clubs, inspectors, and industry participants.
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience as a Racing Steward or in a regulatory compliance environment.
- Strong knowledge of race day procedures and industry legislation.
- High attention to detail, sound judgement, and resilience in challenging situations.
- NSW Class C Driver License
- Willingness to travel and work evenings, weekends, and public holidays under shift provisions.
- Certificate III in Racing Services (Steward) or willingness to obtain.
