Laboratory Technician – Full-Time – Precept Wine
Precept Wine is the largest privately owned wine company in the Northwest. We’re seamlessly integrated to run our own vineyards, wineries and world-class tasting rooms. Currently we are looking for the best and brightest to fill an immediate opening for a Lab Tech in a high volume production laboratory. This is the right opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic looking for experience in the wine industry.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
• Performing daily analyses on juice and wine samples
• Performing analyses using a variety of manual and automated methods
• Setting up and reading of wine microbiology
• Testing incoming grapes for ripeness
• Assisting in the setup of tastings and trials
• Following standard operating procedures; writing or editing procedures.
• Following laboratory safety procedures
• Properly maintaining instruments and test systems.
• Maintaining accurate records and performing accurate data entry
• Maintaining an organized and clean working environment
• Other duties as assigned by Winemakers and Lab Manager
Skills and Requirements:
• Ability to work quickly, accurately and safely
• Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication
• Excellent organizational stills, detail oriented
• Self-starter with willingness to learn and follow new procedures
• Previous experience in a production lab, professional kitchen or winery preferred.
• Use of multiple computer programs, primarily Microsoft Office.
• Math/science aptitude required. High school graduate or GED required. Related college degree preferred.
The applicant must be flexible, professional, highly motivated, must be able to manage multiple responsibilities and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
This is a paid, full time position Monday - Friday. Saturdays, Sundays and evenings may be required during harvest.

This position will average about 20-30 hours per week for part-time, and over 32 hours per week for full-time.
