Join Kroll's Audit Operations Team and gain hands-on experience in the dynamic larger field of Kroll Government Solutions. We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to contribute as new joiners here at Kroll.

 

Kroll is excited to offer a new opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our Kroll Government Solutions team. The Senior Associate role is a vital part of the Kroll Government Solutions audit team, as a key part of the collection and analysis of unclaimed property compliance information from companies under audit.   


Day-to-day responsibilities: 

  • Review accounting information and supporting documentation to validate data accuracy.
  • Verify accounting entries and provide detailed comments on discrepancies or unsupported entries.
  • Perform data entry tasks and ensure the accurate recording of financial information. 
  • Examine supporting documentation, including general ledger extracts, disbursement account reconciliations, and bank documentation to ensure data accuracy and compliance with audit standards.
  • Collaborate with audit managers and senior audit team members to implement workplans and strategies for ongoing unclaimed property audits, including requesting and reviewing data.
  • Coordination and monitoring the progress of the audits, ensuring adherence to audit workplans and strategies.

 

Essential traits: 

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or MBA with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, or Analytics 
  • Familiarity with accounting concepts, financial documents, and audit processes.
  • Prior experience with unclaimed property audits required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and evaluative capabilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • This position is based in New York City.
