JOB TITLE:  Inventory Control Specialist

REPORTS TO: Supply Chain Manager                                                                                                  Created: 8.21.25

LOCATION: Eustis

JOB SUMMARY: The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring optimal stock levels, and supporting efficient supply chain operations. This role plays a critical part in minimizing inventory discrepancies, improving inventory turnover, and supporting operational excellence.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate degree in business, supply chain management, or other relevant field of study.
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management.
  • Ability to obtain a forklift certification.
  • Excellent knowledge of inventory control principles.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Office (Excel) and ERP systems.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock without overstocking.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in collaboration with warehouse, production, finance, and procurement teams.
  • Utilize inventory management systems (e.g., ERP software) to track and update stock movements.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
  • Train staff on inventory control processes and systems as needed.
  • Review production inputs and outputs and ensure they are properly accounted for through the manufacturing process.
  • Work with accounting on all adjustments and inventory issues and complete all inventory investigations.
  • Communicate with stakeholders sharing reports, updates, and analysis to aid in decision making.
  • Collaborate with production, operations, quality control, warehouse and other staff. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to maintain a sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time and operate computer equipment. 
  • Ability to occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work for an extended period in a freezer and non-air-airconditioned environment.
