THE POSITION

The Supervisor, Transport Project Management – Supplier & Services Coordination will support the planning, execution, and delivery of supplier-related projects and service coordination within the FIFA World Cup 2026 framework. Reporting to the Transport Project Management Contracts Manager, this role combines strong project coordination skills with expertise in supplier engagement, service oversight, and operational readiness.

The Supervisor will assist in managing the lifecycle of supplier services for transport operations, from scoping requirements and preparing tender-related documentation to monitoring supplier performance during the tournament. This role will work in close collaboration with the existing Procurement Team to ensure all processes meet FIFA’s operational standards, legal requirements, and strategic objectives.

The main responsibilities and oversights of the Supervisor, Transport Project Management – Supplier & Services Coordination for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include: 
Supplier & Services Coordination
  • Support the preparation and coordination of Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) for transport-related services in alignment with the Procurement Team.
  • Use SAP to process procurement requests, track purchase orders, and monitor service delivery against contractual obligations.
  • Assist in supplier evaluations, selection processes, and negotiations to ensure alignment with operational and budgetary objectives.
  • Administer supplier agreements, ensuring all deliverables, deadlines, and performance standards are met.
  • Act as a key contact with suppliers during the tournament for operational updates, issue escalation, and performance monitoring.
Project Coordination & Execution
  • Support the Transport Project Management Contracts Manager in implementing supplier and service management initiatives for transport operations.
  • Maintain accurate timelines, budget tracking, and reporting for supplier-related projects.
  • Coordinate with other Transport PMO Supervisors and operational leads to ensure supplier readiness for tournament operations.
Stakeholder & Supplier Liaison
  • Facilitate communication between suppliers, the Procurement Team, internal operational teams, and other FIFA departments such as Legal and Finance.
  • Ensure suppliers understand operational requirements, compliance obligations, and tournament-specific conditions.
Tournament-Time Support
  • Monitor supplier service delivery during the event, escalating issues promptly to the Transport Project Management Contracts Manager.
  • Provide real-time supplier and service-related support to the Transport Operations Center.
  • Keep accurate supplier documentation for reporting, knowledge transfer, and legacy purposes.
  • Ensure reconciliation post-event with each supplier, including final service verification and financial settlement.
Policy & Compliance
  • Ensure all supplier engagement and service coordination activities adhere to FIFA standards, legal regulations, and relevant legislation in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
  • Support risk management activities related to supplier performance and operational continuity.

Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, Supply Chain, Project Management, Event Management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in supplier coordination, service delivery oversight, or project management, ideally within transport, sports events, or large-scale operations. 
Work Experience
  • Experience with RFI/RFP processes and supplier management.
  • Proficiency with SAP for service tracking and purchase order management.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Languages
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
Technology
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with supplier or service management platforms is an asset.
  • Availability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, during tournament operations.
