Summary:
The Member Services Representative Correspondence is responsible for sorting and distributing mail. The Representative processes faxes, verifications of deposit, SSA/SSI and AVS research, Medicaid requests, and requests for account closures, transfers to internal accounts, and wires to external accounts.
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum one year of general work experience required
Banking experience preferred
Proficient in MS Word and Excel required
Strong oral and written communication, multitasking, internet skills, and excellent telephone etiquette are required
Knowledge of Teachers policies, practices and systems preferred
Critical thinking and problem solving
A team player and good collaborator
Professional with a strong work ethic
Good oral and written communication skills
Job Responsibilities:
Sorts incoming interoffice mail and separates based on deposits, loan payments, bill payment checks.
Delivers checks to headquarters branch for processing
Processes member requested account closeouts received via, Salesforce, mail or fax
Monitors SSA/SSI and AVS portals to verify member account balance information
Processes information requests for Medicaid eligibility
Retrieves account information, verifies signatures, and prepares reports for micrographics and share draft research
Gathers documents, copies, reviews, and processes before sending to external law firms, companies or members
Gathers statements, copies of receipts, deposit and withdrawal information and processes Verification of Deposits
Responds quickly and accurately to members, branch staff and other department staff
Identifies issues requiring follow-up and contacts members to obtain information
Educates members by advising them of additional Teachers products and services
Uses Salesforce to process cases, create partner referrals, and logs information from member phone conversations
*Performs other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor

The good faith range for this position is $18.60 - $21.86 an hour. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
