Mechanical Repair Technician
Oerlikon Textile, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Repair Technician in our Charlotte, NC facility. The successful candidate will join an established team working in a modern, air-conditioned workshop. We specialize in repairing components and assemblies from high-tech German textile machinery. This is a Monday to Friday first shift position with flexible work hours.

Key Responsibilities
Repair mechanical items promptly, including:
- Chucks
- Blowers
- Godets
- Pumps
- Motors
- Rolls
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Complete work orders for all repairs
- Assist in pulling and stocking inventory as needed.
- Operate forklift occasionally (In-house training and certification program if needed)
- Pull parts and manage stock levels for the above repairs.
Equipment to be used:
- Hand tools such as wrenches, hammers, and screwdrivers, as well as inspection equipment like calipers, gauges, test stands, and a hydraulic press.
- Drills
- Grinders
- Pallet jacks and forklift
Preferred Qualifications:
- You have a high school diploma, associate's degree, or equivalent military experience.
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical assemblies.
- Previous mechanical repair experience is preferred.
- Reliability, self-motivation, and willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with shop machines such as bench grinder, lathe, milling machine, hand tools, soldering/de-soldering iron, drill press, multimeter, arbor press, hydraulic press, and pneumatic screwdriver.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Effective communication skills with internal and external customers and employees at different levels
- Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Knowledge of analog and digital electronic circuits and the ability to troubles
