We are looking for an International (Associate) Marketing & Publicity Manager who will work closely with the Senior International Marketing & Publicity Manager to provide marketing and publicity support to our authors and sales team. This integral role will coordinate interview and event opportunities for PRH US and PRH Publisher Services authors in the international market, focusing on Disney, Marvel, MIT Press, and National Geographic, among others. This position will also work with our staff based in our NYC headquarters and around the world to maximize PRH US exposure through strategic marketing and publicity efforts.  

 

Hybrid and Flexible Work Schedule: Requires an average of two days per week in the New York office (1745 Broadway), with flexibility based on departmental needs and business priorities. Ability to adjust working hours as needed to accommodate international meetings across multiple time zones. 
 
Major Responsibilities: 

 

  • Pitch, organize, and manage virtual international author events focused primarily on PRHPS client publishers, with some PRH core imprint support as needed 
  • Manage PRHPS client publisher in-person (usually virtual) international author publicity and promotion appearances 
  • Coordinate PRHPS client author presence at key international consumer book fairs 
  • Schedule print, online, radio, and broadcast author interviews for PRHPS authors 
  • Write international pitch letters, compile press kits, and disseminate information to international media and publishing partners for PRHPS 
  • Work with authors on all areas of publicity, including briefing authors on best practices, vetting interview questions, testing tech, etc. 
  • Manage marketing requests for PRHPS client publishers, including print and digital advertisements, marketing materials, and displays 
  • Present key title marketing plans to PRH international sales teams for in-house or virtual presentations.

 

Other Responsibilities: 

 

  • Send recaps and roundups of ongoing publicity efforts to the international sales team, PRHPS client publishers, and domestic publishing teams 
  • Organize and maintain international media contact databases 
  • Handle account-specific marketing and publicity requests for top title promotions 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

 

  • Minimum 3+ years publishing publicity experience (international experience preferred) 
  • Experience running virtual author events on digital platforms such as Streamyard, Zoom, Facebook and Instagram 
  • Must be available to work outside of 9-5 hours to attend author events in international time zones 
  • Strong author-care abilities 
  • Strong ability to anticipate needs, attention to small details, and excellent follow-through are a must 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

 

  • Contacts at international media outlets 
  • Collaborative, flexible, and able to work with a team across multiple time zones 
  • Experience with licensed brands and/or comics market is a plus 
  • Experience with Zoho, FileMaker, and Microsoft Office suite and Teams are a plus 

 

This NYC-based role is a hybrid position with in-office responsibilities for a minimum of two days a week in the office. We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway, which includes the tri-state area (NJ, CT, & PA). 

 

The salary range for the Manager level is $73,000 - $78,000 and the salary at the Associate level is $66,500. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
