Position Summary

The Controller/Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of UVP’s accounting and financial operations. This role will manage the accounting team, ensure compliance with financial regulations, maintain accurate financial records, and provide leadership in financial planning and analysis to support UVP’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in healthcare finance or multi-site operations, and able to provide both hands-on accounting expertise and high-level financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

  

 

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.
     
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
     
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics.
     
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
     
  • Manage the year-end audit and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
     
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard organizational assets.
     
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to leadership for strategic decision-making.
     
  • Support revenue cycle management, including billing and collections oversight, in collaboration with operational leaders.
     
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost efficiencies, and technology enhancements within accounting and finance functions.

Requirements

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
     
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
     
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
     
  • Experience in healthcare, multi-location practice, or service industry preferred.
     
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
     
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
     
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
